1000 pounds of cherry coffee will produce approximately
220 pounds of dry Parchment. This is due to weight loss
in removal of the skin and mucilage during the Wet
Mill process and the weight loss due to the difference
in moisture content.
220 pounds of dry parchment will
produce approximately 176 pounds of green coffee.
This is due to weight loss in removal of the inner
(silver skin) and a reduction in moisture which occurs
in the Dry Milling process.
Approximately 5.7 pounds
of Cherry Coffee are required to produce 1 pound of
green coffee A 100 pound bag of Green Coffee will
produce approximately 85 pounds of Roast coffee, this
is due primarily to moisture loss in the roasting process.
